"Misato" Main Branch

This is the main store of "Misato" located in the Ginza shopping district in Atami!

I first went to the Ginza shopping arcade because it was a newer store, and although the main store has a historic feel from the outside, the inside was relatively clean and nice!

This time, I ordered the Fisherman's Meal Set, which is the most popular and recommended dish at the Ginza Shopping Arcade. I ordered this at the Ginza Shopping Arcade, and was surprised that the horse mackerel that came out was still alive (killed alive?) despite being cooked, so I wanted to make sure that it was still alive at the main store.

As you can see in the photo, there is a fish tank inside the store, and the horse mackerel was taken out of there and killed alive!

He was still alive after all!

In terms of taste, it is very light because it is very fresh, but it is still delicious. I think white fish such as sea bream tastes better when it is left to sit, as the umami components come out, but this is also delicious to look at, so I think it's good!

What I want to draw your attention to is the "shiokara squid" garnish hidden under the rice. I'm sure it's homemade, with chili peppers and something crunchy mixed in. (I may be a disqualified reporter, but I had an appointment for my next job, so I couldn't take my time…)

This is more delicious than you can imagine!

Next is "Ikamenchi", a recommended local B-class gourmet food of Atami. It is a traditional home-cooked dish in the Ajiro district of Atami, but each store offers their own unique version of "Ikamenchi".

Misato's "Ikamenchi" uses plenty of squid tentacles and is deep-fried until it is slightly colored. It has a crunchy texture and is chewy, and your mouth will be filled with the flavor of squid! lol

It goes very well with the refreshing horse mackerel.

I think all the places that serve delicious food are relatively tasty, but Misato's here was also very tasty.

It was on my way home from work, so the ramen evangelist I was with ordered the "fried shrimp set meal," which he said was just as tasty as usual!

Atami's Ginza street is nice too, but as you'd expect, this is the flagship store.

Please be sure to stop by.
