Ramen Takahashiya

Having introduced the long-established ramen restaurant "Yoshidaya" in Ito City, we would like to introduce "Takahashiya" in Izu City, which has its roots in Yoshidaya.

Ramen Takahashiya - Exterior

I think one of the staff who worked for the previous owner of Yoshida-ya was the manager or something at a ramen shop in Mishima called "Gentlemen," a name reminiscent of the manga "Shonan Bakusozoku." That staff member then became independent and opened a store in Izu called "Takahashi-ya"!

Sorry for the long story…

I frequent Yoshida-ya, Gentlemen, and Takahashi-ya, so I really like the ramen made by this shop owner.

As you can see, it's very similar to Yoshida-ya's ramen, but even if the recipe is the same, the taste changes when the maker changes. (I don't know if the recipe is the same. lol)

The condiments are the same, so you can experience how the taste changes depending on who makes it! lol

The original "Yoshidaya" has salt and miso, but this "Takahashiya" only has the original family style regular, medium, and large servings on the menu. There's only one ramen to recommend, so there's no need to worry, and everyone lines up to eat this ramen.

This time, I ordered the usual medium serving with extra seaweed and a small serving of rice.

Ramen Takahashiya - Ramen + small rice

The rice is topped with shredded cabbage, and although you can eat it with the cabbage, I like to add extra seaweed and wrap the rice in the seaweed that has been soaked in soup!

On this day, I didn't have any work appointments and just an interview, so I had it with spicy miso and garlic as usual!

Ramen Takahashiya - Garlic + spicy topping

This is a simple composition that is typical of Iekei ramen, but the depth and balance of flavor is top class for me. There is a ramen shop that says Iekei ramen near Ohito Station, but I feel that the food is completely different from that shop. lol

While I was taking a photo of the vending machine, the owner told me that he had no choice but to raise the prices due to rising ingredient costs. Personally, I hope that delicious shops will continue to raise their prices and provide a stable supply!

I think the prices have already been raised, so please note that the prices in the photo are the previous prices.
