Atami in early summer, decorated with purple flowers that bring happiness

The Atami Jacaranda Festival is an event held every year in early summer on the Jacaranda Promenade in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

Jacaranda trees were given to the city of Cascais in Portugal, and currently over 100 trees are planted along the coast of Atami.

Jacaranda trees, which bloom with purple flowers, are also called "purple cherry blossoms," and their beautiful flowers color Atami in early summer.

During the event, the Jacaranda Promenade is lit up, allowing you to enjoy a fantastic night view.

It is said that happiness will come if a jacaranda flower falls on your head, and you can feel that good fortune as you walk.
