Early summer scenery colored by hydrangeas
The vast grounds of Shimoda Park are filled with about 3 million hydrangeas, overwhelming visitors.
There is a wide variety of hydrangeas, and you can enjoy about 100 Japanese and Western varieties, including Japanese hydrangea, Japanese hydrangea, and Annabelle hydrangea.
During the event, the park is bustling with Shimoda Taiko drumming demonstrations and stalls selling local specialties.
You can also stroll along the park's promenade and admire the colorful hydrangeas, providing a sense of tranquility and beauty during the rainy season.
